I went to a weeklong photo class at the Maine Media College in August. This image was made in Port Clyde, a lovely little fishing village south of Rockport, where our class was held.
It was during the "golden hour" when this image was made. As I walked along the dockside, I noticed the wonderful glowing orange of the bouys and ropes. I got down on the decking below this pile of lobstering supplies and laid down flat so that I could get a good perspective of the ropes and floats against the blue sky. I shot perhaps 15 different versions of this scene. I like the composition in this one with the tips of the bouys pointing to the power point to the left. The jumbled ropes keep the viewers eyes moving around the image.
