Disney Concert Hall Detail

Posted by
Barbara Lee (Oakland, United States) on 25 December 2009 in Abstract & Conceptual and Portfolio.

I've been away from Aminus for several days - traveling for the holidays. Got to spend a couple of hours photographing the detail at the amazing Frank Gehry designed Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles. I love the play of light on the stainless steel, getting myself into various pretzel like positions to photograph it as an abstract. I also used my polarizer, twisting it into various colorizations.

As much as I love taking photographs in the natural world, gotta admit that I also have a real affinity for architecture and making abstract patterns with steel, concrete, and light.
