Sunset from the Sun Deck - Mariner of the Seas

Posted by

Back from the cruise. It ws a great week on the water and ashore at Cabo, Mazatlan, and Puerto Vallarta. We WARMED up! So relaxing....but...this was really not a photo trip in the strictest sense of the word. Hours on land were limited to the middle of the day, and since it was my first visit to these ports of call and my non-photog husband was with me, I left the tripod behind and opted for the opportunity to grab whatever shots I happened across...not many. There will be a few to follow.

One of my favorite photos of the week is this one. I went to the top deck at sunset on a VERY windy day - the last of our trip - after the other 3,000 passengers were tucked away at the dinner table. Yep, it is kinda like a theme park, right?! I thought that the colorful sunset worked well with the Disney-esque tableau before me.

super shot! My first thought was that it is some kind of computer graphic, but then I realised that shot is real. Great!

Sounds like a fun trip. There is nothing wrong with grab shots during the day on any trip. I say - shoot where you are, when you can. Nice shot.
