Barbara, the backlighting really makes this. It helps to isolate your subject from the background. So the desert is in bloom! How wonderful for you. It must be a beautiful sight. I would like to go there someday.

Really some beautiful flower photography. A little more blur in the background might bring them out a bit more but it is all a matter of what you are going for at the moment. The light in this is superb.
