Yosemite Reflections

Posted by
Barbara Lee (Oakland, United States) on 18 May 2010 in Abstract & Conceptual and Portfolio.

One morning, I walked out to Cook's Meadow to photograph the reflections in the Merced River. The water was was not quite still, so my camera captured the quiet movement of the water. I flipped this image upside down to create an abstract view of the trees and rock in the background.

NIKON D90 1/60 second F/16.0 ISO 200 225 mm (35mm equiv.)

excellent improvisation here! i really like the vision and idea to capture this reflected view - just real enough to know what it is and just distorted enough to give it an artistic and dreamy look!
