Morning Illumination in Yosemite Valley

Posted by
Barbara Lee (Oakland, United States) on 2 June 2010 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

Up early and wandering around Cook's Meadow looking for the light, I found these two young trees, knee deep in the Merced River, just touched by the rising sun. They were the only objects in the light - the rest of the scene was still shaded. I loved the way that they just popped. This light lasted only for moments, I did several compositions. This one was my favorite of the set.

nice vision here - the two tress are well illuminated without blowing the highlights and stand out well in this scene!
