Roberts Regional Park Redwoods, Take II

Posted by
Barbara Lee (Oakland, United States) on 7 June 2010 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

Ok, here is the same photo as yesterday, but I took most of my adjustment layers off in CS4 and substituted Viveza 2 at Curly's suggestion. What do you think? I think it is very easy to get heavy handed with Viveza, I tried to get richer color and open a few shadows without overdoing it. We need to learn to use all of our Photoshop tools with skill and discernment. Thanks for your thoughts.

I am a Viveza user and feel that it's adjustments are very intuitive and natural looking. You have so much control. Nice edit on this.

I agree with Barbara Kile, too- this looks great, not overdone at all....It really is amazing when you are among the redwoods how colorful the forest is- especially in the fog!

Personally I like second shot more, although I don't know, how was feeling in the place :-) It's hard to expose these redwoods... I think, I'd try to make panorama here, too. Nice place!

Gorgeous trees with incredible trunks.. the bark is just texturally dreamy.
