Windswept

Barbara Lee (Oakland, United States) on 18 August 2010 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

I have been adding images to my "Among Trees" portfolio, and came across this file from my 2008 journey down to Patagonia. I was hiking from one camp to another when I came across this weathered remnant of a tree which once grew on the tundra. I really liked the patterns of the grasses against the stark white of the skeleton of the tree. It made a nice print, one which I am actually thinking of putting in a large frame in my home. I would have never chosen this image from my files for a framed print. I think we really need to see proof prints of our images to see them spring to life. Our monitors can only take them so far.

I like the layers in this image and the pattern of the tree against them. I would say this is definitely worth printing!

Wonderful tree shot. I posted silly trees for my 500 shot yesterday. This one is very classy.
