Air Conditioner

I think I will call this series "Sculpting With Light". I was out again today at dusk, this time wandering the back alleys in Walnut Creek. This old AC unit was tucked into a corner back where the trash piles up. I love the way the light sculpts it into something entirely new.

I can hear the "Thump, Bump, Boom" of the sheet metal now as this baby starts up. Really nice contrast between the painted concrete block wall and the sheet metal of the unit...hey, this is a cool series!!

if you know what you are doing even an air conditioner box can become an interesting basis for a good photo! fine lines and textures and a good surreal feel to the composition - i would not know what it was if you did not mention it in your comments...
