Springtime on Mt. Diablo

Posted by
Barbara Lee (Oakland, United States) on 6 March 2011 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

Continuing our weekend training sessions to get ready to hike the Tour du Mt. Blanc in August, we headed out to the Mitchell Canyon trailhead in Clayton this morning. An 8.6 mile hike with a 3200' elevation gain was a pretty strenuous hike, but well worth it. A gorgeous day on the mountain in this amazing California state park. I took this photo at the end of the hike. I love the spring green, the little creek, the chaos yet order of the trees.
