Bluedick and White Lover

Posted by
Barbara Lee (Oakland, United States) on 15 May 2011 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio.

OK, you asked for more flowers - here is my best effort so far today. We hiked on Mt. Diablo up the Falls Trail and there were dozens of varieties of wildflowers everywhere. It is times like this when I wish I knew more of their names! But I noticed this lovely pair by the side of the trail, and recognized that bluedick right away. He seems to have found a sweet lover - I would love to know what flower this is, but I give up. Maybe Queen Anne's Lace? But I sort of doubt it. I'm playing with the Nik Color Effects filters here.

I like the processing. The light vignette is great with this delicate subject.

The darker tonality give flowers personality, a place under the sun. A lovely combination!

I like this one better than the lighter version.
