Well, while Julie was running around the UC Berkeley Botanical Gardens with her big honkin bird lens, I was on the lookout for something to shoot with my 90mm Tamron macro lens. We were there around noon, so it was tough to get some nice open shade, but I finally found this lovely clump of alstroemeria in open shade with little breeze. So, I offer you my one image of he morning in the gardens. Yes, I know it could be sharper! I am sure that Julie will be showing you some wonderful bird pics. I hope she posts the little hummingbird in its nest that we saw!

@Tracy: Oh Tracy, what a lovely comparison! Thanks so much!
@Julie Brown: Thanks Julie. It was great to get these flowers in that nice open shade. I need to get back there early some overcast morning. Those are not in short supply all summer!
@DarkElf: Why thank you so very much!
