love the way you have composed this to lead the eye to the redwoods but clearly those fiddleheads are the stars. lovely tones and mood.

Hi Barbara - this image is a "Double Delight" here. I love the golden brown tone of the unopened ferns backdropped against the richly-colored ferns just behind...this lower section of your frame could be a totally seperate imnage and a wonderful one at that. But then we move up to the upper half and see that awesome light as it sideways dances from stage right into the top center of the frame to encircle the redwoods...and all of a sudden we zoom back and take-in this image altogether and it just evokes such a peaceful yet energetic feeling because of the elements involved and the composition you have created! This just puts me there...and I definitely thank you! This is another one I need on my wall...I am running out of room...The Barbara Lee room in my dream mansion would need to be bigger than a 4 car garage!!

This is beautiful. I love the atmosphere in the distance, and the way the textures change from the bottom to the top in the frame.

@David: Thank you David. This is Mt favorite photo of my trip up there. It was tough finding a coherent composition in the chaos of that forest.

What a wonderfully balanced image, with the saturated green of the ferns, and the soft light coming through the trees. It is just so peaceful.
