China Camp State Park - iPhone Capture

We hiked 10.5 miles here on Sunday - got lost, and a 5.5 mile nearly doubled. Oh, well, we need the miles! I have been away from Aminus and miss my Aminus friends, but I have been so busy getting ready for our big trip and the art festivals that I will be trying to sell my work in come September. We leave next Thursday for Paris. A week in Paris, 2 weeks hiking around Mt. Blanc, and a week in Amsterdam. Then 3 weeks after getting home, I have my first festival. Whew! No wonder I have been absent from this community, and all other for that matter! My friends are feeling neglected.

I'll be taking lots of photos in Europe (of course!) and hope to post occasionally when I have access to wifi, but most of them will not come up for air until later in October, when the festivals are under my belt. Doing the festivals is a big challenge and a crap shoot in terms of whether or not I will sell. As they say, we will see! Have a great summer, everyone! See you back here in the fall.

Tracy, so far I will be in Lafayette the weekend of Sept. 17 for the art and wine festival and in Walnut Creek the weekend of Sept 24 for their art faire. Hope to also be on San Carlos weekend of Oct 9. I hope thT I might meet some of my Aminus buds at these festivals, I know that many of you live in the Bay Area. It would be fun to see you there!

BTW, the map we downloaded for this hike from the web showed a trail that does not exist! We will always cross check maps from now on!

We, too, have followed downloaded maps that had trails that did not exist in real life--makes hikes more interesting! Lovely trees.
Hope your trip is great fun. I admire you for venturing into the art fair scene. Do let us know how it goes.
